First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DemandLab.
Project Coordinator
It was a 4 stage process. Started with 2 phone calls, one with the recruiter and another with the hiring manager. Then there was a project exercise, followed by 2 technical and cognitive tests. I completed all these steps and was asked by the hiring manager to provide my references. After I sent my references, I was ghosted. Two weeks went by with no word, so I reached out to the HM, but got no response. A week after that, I emailed the recruiter and was finally told I failed the technical assessment. So, after asking for references, you just let me know I failed? It took almost two months and over 15 emails for this outcome. Disappointing.

Operations Manager
I applied online and talked to the assistant to the COO for about 30 minutes. Then I had a 1-hour interview with the COO, which went well. They said the next steps were a technical assessment and then a peer interview to go over the assessment. About 8 days later, I got an email saying the assessment would be sent in about a week and the peer interview scheduled shortly after. I waited a week with no assessment, so I followed up. Within minutes, I got an email saying they changed their mind and wouldn't be moving forward. They sent a standard "we'll keep your info" message. I told them I was disgusted and to delete my info, and that I wouldn't work there ever. How you treat people shows who you are as a company. Doesn't seem like everything is great there.

HR Administrative Assistant
The interview process is pretty standard, though it might be different for other jobs. I went through 3 rounds: first, I spoke with an HR admin assistant, then the HR manager. After that, I got an assessment to complete, followed by a call with the Manager. Finally, I received the offer call. The team hiring was really on the ball, and the interviews felt more like great chats.
- Tell me about your interest in working here.
Project Manager
Initially, I talked to DL about a role that wasn't the right fit. Then, when the PM job opened up, the CEO reached out to see if I was still interested in DemandLab. After a couple of 1:1 phone interviews with Rhoan, I went onsite. I met with Rhoan and Julien, who's a co-founder and head of operations. We chatted for about 90 minutes, discussing our backgrounds, the company's main goals, and the specific needs for the PM hire. It was a really open and informative conversation, and I got a clear picture of what success looks like at DemandLab. Following that, I had video calls with several other team members. This gave me different perspectives on the PM role and a feel for the company culture. After these meetings, Rhoan and I reconnected, and we both felt it was a good match.
- Given your current understanding, what would be your initial three goals?
