The interview process started with a recruiter call that was really unprofessional. The recruiter mumbled and repeated herself a lot, seemed distracted, and presented the job negatively by focusing on the low base salary ($55k). She did mention the full OTE and monthly commission payouts later, which was better. The role was described as hybrid with a 7am-7:30am start, requiring 4 deals per month with a 3-month ramp-up on 100% outbound. The call lasted 30 minutes. She said the next step would be to meet two managers and promised to follow up by a specific date. She never did. Five days later, I reached out and got an out-of-office reply saying she was on vacation for two weeks. The backup contact said the hiring managers were also out for weeks and they weren't sure if the position was still open. I was told they'd contact me when they had info. Three weeks after that, I got a generic rejection email. It seemed like a blessing, as I wouldn't reapply or recommend it.

I was contacted by an internal recruiter and the process moved quickly. I met with several sales managers from different areas of the department all at once in a single meeting. After that, I had a mock sales presentation over the phone with the head of sales, and I was given information to help me prepare.

So I interviewed for an Account Executive job at Demandforce, and man, my experience was really bad. The first interview round was okay, but the second round was a whole other story. It was supposed to be a video call, and I waited for 20 minutes, but nobody showed up. I emailed the recruiter twice but got nothing back. Then, two days later, they finally told me they weren't moving forward with my application. It felt like they totally wasted my time, blew off the interview, and didn't even bother to tell me. It was super unprofessional of them to leave me hanging like that for 20 minutes without a word. And then to say they weren't going forward after all that? Just shows they don't care about people's time. It's just basic courtesy to cancel or at least let someone know. Seriously, if this is how they treat potential hires, I'd be worried about how they treat employees and clients. It's a really bad sign about their whole process. It was a really disrespectful and unprofessional experience.
