Customer Success Manager
I went through several rounds of interviews, which included a final round, and then I heard absolutely nothing back. No update, no rejection, no follow-up, just radio silence. After waiting and nudging them myself, I ended up withdrawing my application and pursuing other opportunities. A process like this makes me feel like candidates aren't valued. If a company is going to take up so much of a candidate's time, the least they can do is communicate promptly and provide closure. Also, my interaction with the hiring manager was not great. They sounded dismissive and sometimes unprofessional, which just made the whole thing worse.

Customer Success Manager
The interview process started out strong. Conversations with the CS leadership team were overly templatized and scripted, but there was clear mutual interest early on. I was genuinely excited about the role and the opportunity to re-enter the GTM / ABM marketing and sales space. As the process progressed, however, the experience became increasingly unclear. While an offer was communicated verbally, I was not provided with exact compensation details, and requests for information about benefits were declined with the explanation that no candidate-facing benefit materials (i.e., brochure or benefits packages) were available. As a result, evaluating the opportunity required a level of trust that I was not comfortable with at this stage of the process, and I ultimately had to explicitly request a written offer to understand what was being proposed. Additionally, during a conversation with the hiring director, I was told verbatim: “If you’re looking to grow or progress within this role in 2–3 years, you should look at other companies.” While I appreciated the candor, this further impacted my trust and confidence with the CS leadership and the long-term fit of the role. Taken together, the lack of clarity around the offer, which devolved into effectively a "just trust me, bro" talking point and the positioning of the role made it difficult to assess the opportunity with confidence, and I ultimately withdrew from consideration to avoid further time investment on both sides.

Customer Success Manager
Applied through LinkedIn and went through 6 interviews: a 45-minute recruiter screening, two 30-minute interviews with hiring directors, a 45-minute panel presentation, and two 30-minute interviews with VPs. The process was smooth, and they were accommodating of my time off. The recruiter kept me updated. Learning about ABM and Demandbase One helped, as I learned more about the company and they assessed my fit. The process was thorough with no repeated questions, and the recruiter provided guidance. Interviews were not overly difficult for those with customer-facing experience. I was offered multiple scheduling options, which was helpful given the timezone difference. After interviews, references were requested, followed by an offer. A standard screening was also conducted. Very happy with the outcome and support.
- For the presentation, I recommend dropping the script and engaging in role-play. Also, leverage the helpfulness of the team to prepare for interviews and QBR.
