First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Delta Partners.
Consultant
After being shortlisted, I went through 4 interviews. The first 2 were with middle management (Manager and above), and the next 2 were with Senior Directors (Office Partners). I had to pass one to get to the next. Each interview was standard: 20 mins for fit, 30 mins for a case study, and 10 mins for an open discussion.
- Can you explain your interest in Dubai?
- What attracts you to FTI Delta?
- What's your motivation for returning to consulting?
Senior Consultant
This was a totally BS interview. It started with a typical case interview, which was easy and I nailed it. Then, I was given a brain teaser that the interviewer herself didn't understand. I asked a critical clarifying question, but the interviewer responded, “that doesn’t matter.” I was rejected because I didn't get the brain teaser correct. I later found out that no one in my cohort was asked brain teasers. Overall rating: Easy, but Impossible.
- Given 9 balls, where 8 have the same weight and 1 is different, and a Roman scale, how can you identify the different ball in just two weighings?
Consultant
After submitting my CV, there was a background questionnaire. I had two rounds of interviews, each lasting about an hour. The interviews started with about 20 minutes of fit questions, then moved into an interviewee-led case study. The fit questions focused on aspects of my CV and my interest in the TMT sector. My second interviewer was quite condescending and seemed impatient.
- Could you tell me why you are interested in Delta Partners?
- What are your thoughts on the TMT industry?
