Customer Service Representative
I sent in an application and then had a phone screening. After that, there were panel interviews with supervisors and managers. I also had to pass a test with math questions and word problems, and then a background check.
- What is your knowledge of Delta Dental?
Customer Service Representative
I recently went through a hiring process with Delta Dental that I felt was misleading and disappointing. It was more of a screening than an interview, just confirming info from my application like my legal employment status and reviewing my resume. There weren't any real interview questions about my skills or how I could help the company. I get that screenings are important, but I expected an actual interview to go deeper into my qualifications. Calling it an 'interview' didn't match my expectations based on how they described it. I like efficient hiring, but it would be helpful if they were clearer about what each stage actually is. Maybe Delta Dental could be more precise with their terms to manage expectations better for applicants.
- Can we go over each job listed on your resume?
- Can you repeat the standard questions you already answered in your application?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online for the customer service rep position and heard back via email to set up a phone interview which was scheduled for six days later. I did the phone interview the next day; it was pretty straightforward and only took about 25 minutes. The recruiter went over the job details, training, schedule, and pay, and asked me a few questions, like 'tell me about yourself' and 'name a time'. After that, the recruiter asked if I wanted to proceed, and the next step was the assessment. The assessment had three parts: customer service basics, math basics, and a typing test. Once I finished the assessment, the recruiter contacted me the following day to schedule a second interview with four managers. When I went in two days later, it turned out to be a 2:1 interview instead of 4:1. They asked me about 10 questions, but it was all pretty easy. Two days after that, my recruiter called to offer me the job.
