Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Delta Dental Plans Association.
Business Analyst
I applied online and after a couple weeks, HR called me for a phone screening. The questions were basic pre-interview ones like why I want to work there and what my salary expectations are. If I met the criteria, I was invited to a virtual interview with the hiring manager and another associate via Microsoft Meetings. I got the offer two weeks after the interview. The whole thing took about a month.
- Why are you interested in working at Delta Dental?
- What are your salary expectations for this role?
- Could you describe the essential skills for a successful Business Analyst?
Business Analyst
I got the job through a secondary contractor, so I went to the office for a face-to-face interview. I interviewed with a supervisor and another analyst. The questions weren't difficult.
- How proficient are you with MS Excel and its functions?
Technology Analyst
It was a great interview… just a few behavioral questions, no technical stuff, only behavioral questions about yourself, your weaknesses, strengths, and what languages you can code in, like Python and Java. We also discussed hourly rate and accommodation.
- Can you tell me more about yourself?
- Can you describe your strengths?
- Could you share your weaknesses?
