Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deloitte.
Intern
I applied through my college placement drive. First, there was an aptitude test with logical, quantitative, and verbal questions. Then, an online coding round. After that, a technical interview covering DBMS, OOPs, and basic coding problems. Finally, an HR round to assess communication, confidence, and attitude.
- Could you describe your final year project?
Intern
The selection process had three interviews. First was an initial phone call, where they checked general profile aspects and motivation. Second was a group interview focused on a market sizing exercise, where candidates had to collaborate to estimate the size of a specific market using limited data and reasonable assumptions. The third and most demanding was an individual interview based on a complex case, where you had to analyze a strategic problem and also prepare a structured presentation with final recommendations to present to the interviewer. Each stage tested analytical skills, communication, teamwork, and structured thinking.
- Estimate the number of daily occurrences in a specific location.
Intern
You'll start with a video assessment that includes psychometric tests and a recorded video interview. After that, you'll have interviews with the Deloitte team for the specific area you're applying to, and the number of interviews can differ. Finally, there's an in-depth interview with a Partner or senior leader to check your technical skills and how well you fit the role, team, and Deloitte.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Describe your perfect job opportunity.
- What is your biggest weakness or past work failure?
