First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dell Technologies.
Intern
It was an on-campus thing in my third year. First, there was an online assessment, then 3 rounds of interviews. Two were technical, and the last one was HR. I was waitlisted with 2 others, and 9 people got selected. They mostly asked stuff from my resume and OS concepts, particularly OS. Some DSA questions and puzzles were also asked. The main part was from my resume and OS subjects.
- Could you explain how to draw an equilateral triangle using 5 sticks?
- Can you define DMA?
- What is a mutex?
Intern
I had an interview for an internship role. They asked me basic SQL questions and about my projects, plus some DBMS concepts. Most of the questions were about my projects. The SQL questions covered inner joins, outer joins, left join, right join, and the difference between delete and truncate. They also asked about project templates and how I handled login page errors on a website.
- What is something not mentioned on your resume?
- Tell me about something not on your resume.
Intern
I prepared by focusing on my resume, data structures, and algorithms, which was helpful. They asked a question about searching and a situational scenario. Overall, the experience was good and I had a great time with an excellent company.
- Tell me about a time you used data structures and algorithms.
- Can you walk me through your projects?
- Describe your experience with searching.
