The interview had 3 stages. First, we did a deep dive on 2-3 key projects. Then, we discussed a business problem, focusing on the approach, trade-offs, and impact. There was also some light technical probing, not LeetCode style. Key areas assessed were stakeholder management, ownership, structured thinking under ambiguity, and the ability to connect data to decisions and actions. The focus was on depth, not breadth, of tools.

The first three rounds of the interview went pretty well. The first round was technical with a coding test. The second focused on past work experience and some technical aspects. The third was a Hiring Manager round with a fitment test. Unfortunately, my hiring manager had to conduct one more technical round to reject my profile, which I perceived because the third round was supposed to be the last one as I was told earlier. In this final round, an interviewer from a different team conducted the interview. She started asking me questions on topics I haven't worked on, which I had already mentioned in the previous three rounds. I felt disheartened by this and didn't want to proceed further with the interview. The interviewer smiled and ended the call. I understand it's the company's and hiring manager's choice, and it was my bad luck that I couldn't succeed.

My resume got selected and I went through the interview process. Honestly, it was the worst experience I've had so far. There were three interviewers, and it felt like they were more interested in proving they knew more than me rather than having a discussion. They were kind of taunting me throughout. They threw a LeetCode hard problem at me and expected me to solve it on the spot, which is extremely difficult. If coding is a criterion, they should have a separate coding round or a live coding session beforehand, not a hard LeetCode problem during the interview itself. They really need to pick their interview panel wisely!
