First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dell Technologies.
IT Analyst
The interview process is straightforward and structured. It starts with an initial screening to check qualifications and experience. Then, there's a more detailed interview to assess technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit. Depending on the role, you might have a final discussion with the hiring manager or team to confirm if you're a good fit overall.

Business Analyst
The interview process was pretty straightforward and they communicated well. No unexpected interviews popped up after the main ones were done. I had an initial chat with HR, followed by three other meetings: two with team members and then the hiring manager. Everyone I spoke with used the STAR method for interviewing and was really nice and professional.

Business Analyst
So, for the Business Analytics profile, we were told that everyone would directly get to interview. No written test needed. But, after the pre-placement talks, out of 60-70 people who applied, only 12 got selected for interviews. Funny thing is, none of them actually had a business analytics profile, and all those who did, couldn't even sit for the interviews. They never even told us how they shortlisted these 12. Plus, it seemed like they were favoring girls. For the Software Engineer role, about 50 people got shortlisted after the written round. In the interview round, they called candidates alphabetically. After interviewing 4-5 boys, they started interviewing girls first. Once all girls were done, they called the remaining boys and started asking them really basic, unrelated questions, almost like they were just wasting our time because they'd already picked enough people. In the end, 12 girls and only 6 boys got selected. Again, girls were preferred. I get supporting gender equality, but picking girls over boys isn't equality. They should have picked an equal number. I know it might seem like the girls were more talented, but trust me, they weren't. I checked the boys' profiles, and some were even better than the selected candidates. Dell really does seem to prefer girls.
