I went through a pretty long interview process. It seems like a common experience based on other reviews. After everything, they said they liked me but didn't have a project that fit me right now. This happened even though I followed up a bunch. The process had 4 stages: 1st was a phone screening, 2nd a basic competence interview with someone junior, 3rd a big case study I had 48 hours to prep for, and 4th a final interview with senior leaders. I thought the first three rounds went really well, but the last one surprised me. It was way more intense than I thought and asked a lot of behavioral/scenario questions that had already been covered. It also wasn't ideal having only one person in the final round, as it meant only one perspective was considered. Everyone was nice enough, but it was a lot of effort for an unclear result. I had to keep asking HR for updates throughout the whole thing.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The HR recruiter was helpful and transparent throughout the process, and generally communicated in a timely manner. He provided a one-pager upfront that detailed the components of the Delivery Associates interview process (initial competency interview, case study and presentation, final interview with leadership team) so I knew what to expect. The transparency aspect of the interview experience was positive overall. During the initial interview, the interviewer seemed unfamiliar with the process and apologized that the interview protocol was clunky. The questions were fairly general/typical behavioral style interview questions. During the case study phase, I was given 48 hours to complete a presentation using data provided about a fictitious scenario advising local government leaders. The case study interview consisted of a simulated check-in with a manager to review the presentation and prepare for a hypothetical meeting with the client. While the case study was interesting, it didn't seem well aligned to the position for which I was interviewing. After a few weeks, I hadn't heard back and followed up with the recruiter and was informed that management had decided to go in another direction. I was offered feedback which was surprising as generally this isn't a common practice with organizations, however, the feedback provided was only mildly helpful.

  • Imagine you were advising a team and preparing for a presentation on the status of X project to the organization providing funding for the project. Some stakeholders want to exclude information about aspects of the project that are off-track. How do you address this situation?

The recruiter was really on top of things and kept me in the loop from the start. They got back to me super fast after I applied and always let me know what was up. I could ask them anything, and they explained the job and company vibe really well. During the chat, they paid attention and seemed genuinely interested in my background, and also went over the role and company stuff. Honestly, I was super impressed with how professional and thoughtful they were the whole time. It felt like they really wanted to find the right person, and I felt respected, especially since I even got feedback after the interviews, which is rare for me.

Behavioral Case Presentation

This company's hiring process is surprisingly inefficient and unprofessional given their focus on delivery. It's best to avoid them; don't waste your time. They interview for roles that may not even exist or have a clear start date. You'll find patterns of this in other reviews. I asked about this in my final interview, which confirmed they had no idea when they were actually hiring, even months into the process. The entire thing took nearly five months, which is ridiculous. It started with a recruiter, then a peer behavioral/competency interview, followed by a case interview with prep and a role-play with a peer and senior leader, and finally, a senior leader behavioral/competency interview. There was a five-week gap between the third and fourth interviews with minimal updates, requiring multiple follow-ups just to get a response. The interviews were standard, but the final one felt like an interrogation – impersonal and question-heavy with half the time of previous interviews. I didn't get enough time to ask about the company, leadership, business development, or project portfolio. They didn't seem to think anything was wrong with this. The lack of professionalism and clear communication made it absurd. To top it off, they expect you to do unpaid 'exploitative' work for the case study with no feedback or reimbursement, even if it's useful to them. Afterward, you get an unclear, impersonal, AI auto-email saying they're not moving forward, with no feedback. If they manage clients like they manage hiring, it's alarming.
