It was a pretty typical software engineer interview process. First, I had a phone call with a recruiter, then I went through two technical interviews with two different engineering managers. Everyone was nice and fair.

Technical Coding

My interview experience started with a good HR recruiter call. Then I got a take-home coding test to complete on codesanbox. Honestly, I found it really frustrating because I wasn't familiar with codesanbox and Typescript, and the app itself was quite simple. I made sure to showcase all the core React concepts and my expertise in different ways, sticking to the rules about not using extra libraries and keeping it simple. Unfortunately, I got a generic rejection email with no specific feedback, even after I asked for some. I've since heard from other top engineers I know that they had a similar experience, so it seems like a waste of time. I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Given that I've since received offers from major global tech companies with very tough interviews, this process felt like a sign of them getting bogged down in minor details.

Their recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn, but their email system was messed up, so when the interview day came, I waited around with no one calling. Turns out my interviewer was sick that day, and I didn't get the email because of their email system issues. But once all that was sorted, the interview was like a standard technical interview.
