Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deliverr.
Front-End Engineer
I applied through LinkedIn and a few days later, I got an email about an online assessment through Woven. I had to wait about 4-5 days for the link, and even after asking a couple of times, it took a while to get it. The Woven platform itself was buggy and I ran into problems during the assessment.
- Could you fetch data from an API and then modify the ReactJS code to display it?
- How would you fetch data from an API and then update the ReactJS code to show that data?
Senior Front End Developer
It was a standard tech interview that ended up taking about five hours. I spoke with different people from the company, and they asked usual algorithm and front end questions. However, I never got any feedback. After spending all that time, I just received a generic response saying they were moving forward with other candidates. When I asked for some feedback, they ghosted me. It's a terrible way to treat candidates, so I'd advise against wasting your time here.
- Can you share details about your previous roles and accomplishments?
- How would you approach and solve these algorithmic challenges?
- Do you have experience with various different types of tasks or skills?
Frontend Engineer
I applied on Linkedin and then had a recruiter call. After that, there was a 90-minute take-home coding assessment on Woven to check my frontend and React skills. I got generic feedback a few days later.
- Fetch and filter data from the provided API, ensuring robust error handling for response codes and negative cases.
- Develop a React UI that demonstrates knowledge of event handling, child-to-parent prop passing, and date formatting, with evaluation based on requirement fulfillment and adherence to naming conventions.
