I was initially contacted by their recruiter via email about an interesting opportunity that seemed to align with my almost 20 years of experience. After I replied, there was no response for over a week. I then reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn, and she got back to me about 4-5 days later. The initial screening interview went fine, and she provided a link to a skills assessment test. Around that time, I looked at Glassdoor and saw generally negative experiences from other Sales Engineer applicants, which put me off. They eventually emailed to see if I was still interested. Not wanting to waste my time, I shared my concerns about the negative reviews, but received no further response. If a company is unresponsive before hiring, it makes me question the support and treatment received after being hired. Proceed with caution.

You'll have a recruiter call first, they are very nice, polite and energetic. You will learn a lot about the company, the culture and their expectations. After that, you will have a Thycotic SE Assessment test. It's 27 questions over an hour, a mix of multiple choice and written answers where you have to explain how you get to a resolution. You cannot cut and paste. It's a mix of SQL, PowerShell, Active Directory, and Linux. Be aware that you need to be quick and concise in your answers. I ran out of time because I went deep into most of my explanations. It might be better if you put your quickest answer down. TIP: Use a timer for the hour or two minutes for each question. You can use google, or notes for answers.

Got approached by a headhunter. Had an initial interview with the hiring manager, then a phone interview with an SE team member, followed by a phone interview with the Account Manager I would be working with. Then had an in person meeting with the Account Manager, and a phone interview with the VP of Technical Services. Had to present demo skills to the hiring manager, and give a random sales pitch to the VP. The whole thing took a little over 4 weeks from the first interview to the offer.
