I applied for the Backend Developer job in Gurugram. The first round went well, and we talked about database concepts and solved a couple of DSA problems. The second round, however, was a really bad experience. The interviewer was late, kept their camera off, seemed distracted, and sometimes talked to other people during our call. I had to repeat myself a lot, and even when I gave a correct SQL query, they just dismissed it without really checking. It felt disrespectful because we prepare so much for these interviews, and this kind of inattention and lack of professionalism is not okay. The company looks good, but the interview process should be taken seriously by everyone involved.

So, the interview started with us introducing ourselves. I talked about my background, skills, and what I've worked on, and the interviewer gave a quick rundown of their job at Delhivery and what the interview would be like. Then, they shared a Google Doc with some SQL problems for me to solve right there. It was all about writing queries with JOIN, GROUP BY, and filters for practical data retrieval. After SQL, we covered some Computer Networks stuff. Then came a DSA question, a medium one that needed binary search and two pointers. I had to explain my idea, walk through the logic step-by-step, and then code it. To wrap up, they asked if I had any questions, and I asked a couple about the role and the team.

So first, they looked at my resume, then I had an online test that had coding and aptitude questions. It was about 2 hours long and had 10 MCQs on CS stuff like CN, OS, DBMS, and 3 programming questions where you had to write the best approach to pass all test cases. After that, I had 1 technical interview where we talked about my projects and their ER diagrams, plus some DBMS questions. Then they asked me Java questions about Threads, Encapsulation, and OOPs. They also threw in some DSA problems like finding the next greater element using stacks, efficiently summing a stream of numbers with given start and end indices, and printing the circular spiral order of a binary tree, and I had to code that on paper. The interviewer even made me redo the online test questions. Lastly, there were 2 HR rounds. They asked about my hobbies, projects, and online coding profiles. One interviewer even looked at my project code on their laptop! They also asked about Kotlin, Java frameworks, Android, tools for fast app development, my startup ideas, what I'd do if I didn't get selected, what my friends think of me, stepping out of my comfort zone, how I learn, what I know about the company, if I read the news, my free time activities, and my expectations from the manager and company. Oh, and the eligibility was CGPA > 5 with no active backlogs.
