Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Delaware North.
Supervisor
The process was very relaxed. It's a cool feeling to walk into the stadium for the first time (if you haven't been before) and the hiring managers are really friendly. It was a great experience overall.
- Tell me about your leadership experience.
Supervisor
The interview process was really disorganized. HR and the department didn't seem to communicate well. The actual Hiring manager wasn't there. I met and was interviewed by a regional manager who asked me three irrelevant questions. I got a vague, “I don’t know why I wouldn’t call you tomorrow.” Then HR asked me to fill out an application and told me I was hired. There was no negotiation of wages. My start date was set and then pushed back.
- What job did you apply for?
- Can you tell me about yourself and if you have any hobbies?
Supervisor
I interviewed for another job but they said I wasn't qualified, so they offered me a supervisor role instead to help me get the skills I need for a manager position.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- How do you think you would fit into this role?
