Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Delaware North.
Manager
The interview process seemed to go well, but the recruiter was horrible. They did not follow up and lacked communication skills. I was ghosted a few times and often lied to about the interview process and how long it would take. This was the worse interview and recruitment process I've ever experienced.
- Can you describe your experience and how it aligns with the requirements of this role?
Restaurant Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. I talked to a recruiting manager who was decent at interviewing, but like everyone else at Patina, she was super busy. Her follow-up and responsiveness were really bad. It took ages to hear back, and they passed me around to a few different managers before finally settling on me. The job I initially applied for got changed because they needed to fill a different spot due to their own bad planning and quick reactions.
- They tend to talk more than listen, building themselves up.
- They then like to bring you down a bit to see if you can take constructive criticism.
Manager
Had several great interviews and it sounded like an awesome company. However, I was a little turned off when I didn't get a response about my status. A couple weeks later, I got an email saying I wasn't in consideration, which is fine, but considering I had in-person interviews with no bad feedback, a phone call would have been the least they could do.
- What is your interest in Patina?
