Behavioral Other

I was invited directly to a working trial day, without a real interview. The day lasted five hours. When I arrived, I was only asked one question about my previous experience, then I immediately worked like a normal employee – unpaid, but with full responsibility. I come from Ukraine and after two years in Germany I speak good German, even if it's not my native language. Nevertheless, I was criticized by a woman who didn't introduce herself for my language skills in an inappropriate and condescending way. In the end, I received neither feedback nor a rejection. I felt disrespected and disappointed. Clear communication and some appreciation would have been the minimum.

Technical Group Presentation

I applied online and got a call the same day for an in-person interview. It was a group interview where we had to do a quick English/math test (about 10 mins). Then, we had to choose one shoe from men's, women's, and kids' sections, identify its key features, and select a shoe care product to pair with it. After that, we had to present the products to the manager, which was very brief. I was told I'd hear back the same day, but it's been a week with no word, so I assume I didn't get the job.
