Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deibel Laboratories.
Lab Technician
First, they asked me some basic questions to check if I could legally work here, then we went over the job description to see if I was a good fit. Lastly, they asked some general interview questions about teamwork, salary, and things like that.
- How have you dealt with workplace conflict, and can you give an example of a time you did?
- Can you tell me about your experience with conflict resolution in a professional setting?
Lab Technician
I got an email to set up an in-person interview, so I went. It was in person. The vibe was not friendly at all. Two people asked me questions from a paper. The manager seemed biased. I never found out what happened next.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What do you consider your weakness?
Lab Technician
It was a pretty easy process overall. Started with a phone call, then moved to an in-person interview, and finished with a lab practical. The phone call was pretty standard. The in-person one was a bit nerve-wracking because you had to talk to your future boss and basically brag about yourself. The lab part was just regular lab work.
- Are you able to lift 20 pounds?
