First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deep Instinct.
Senior Software Engineer
The process involved a remote interview with the team leader about implementing LRU caching and lists, followed by an HR interview. Then, there was a remote interview with the "architect" where I had to design a system for receiving agent events and sending priority-based notifications. Finally, I interviewed with a Manager. Although I cleared all the technical interviews, and the HR mentioned they were great, the process dragged on for two weeks between each interview. I was anticipating an offer when the HR suddenly stated that I didn't have enough experience. It's puzzling why they'd proceed through the entire process if they already doubted my suitability. Additionally, the HR forgot about a previous interview, requiring me to remind her, which felt unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend wasting time with this company.

Backend Team Lead
The hiring process was great, and I had a really good connection with the recruiter. They were super communicative, checking in after each interview to see how it went and setting up the next one quickly. It all took about a month, and everything was very clear. Here’s how it went: First, a quick chat with the recruiter. Then, a Zoom call with the director where we talked about the job and how I'd handle certain situations. After that, it was on-site for a system design interview with the team leader and director, followed by an HR interview, and then an interview with the VP of R&D on the same day.
- Can you design a system that fits the company's business, based on given requirements and company needs?
Account Executive
I recently interviewed for an Account Executive position. The process involved a panel interview with the sales team, where we discussed my sales experience, strategies, and client relationship-building skills. I highlighted my achievements, demonstrating my ability to meet and exceed targets. The interview went well, and I'm optimistic about the opportunity.

- What's your approach to finding and going after new business?
- How do you deal with pushback or difficulties during sales?
DevOps Engineer
The interview experience was really great! The team was super communicative and friendly, which made everything feel professional and welcoming. They got back to me quickly after each interview, and the communication was open and honest the whole way through. It was obvious they cared about my time and wanted the process to be smooth. Honestly, it was refreshing to see that kind of efficiency and transparency; definitely one of the best interview processes I've been through.
