The interview experience was mostly fine until the end. After I finished all the stages and submitted the paid interview, I got no response. I followed up with the CEO a week or two later, and he said he was swamped with a client project. That was the last I heard from him. It's really disappointing to go through an entire interview process and then be completely ignored.

There are 4 phases in total. First is an online assessment. Second, the Principal will directly assess your understanding of the job. You should do your homework in detail, as I was stuck on an SDLC question even after reading carefully. He's a straightforward person, unlike traditional HR, and doesn't give false hope. If he's satisfied with your answers about the job, he'll say, 'I'm going to assign you a task after this interview,' or simply, 'Thanks for your time, but we can't proceed further.' I've passed the first two rounds and am waiting for the third round, which is a paid assignment, followed by evaluation and an offer.

The first step was a brief chat with the CEO, where I had to answer basic questions about the role, my expected responsibilities, and the company's operations. It felt like a check to see if I'd actually read the offer details. Then came two tests: a technical one that took a few hours, not too hard if you know the tech, and a project analysis which was more involved than I anticipated, taking me several days to complete. They do offer compensation for these tasks, which is good. The final stage involved an interview to go over my approach to the technical task and talk about performance and other related matters.
