Software Engineer
The interviews were all pretty weak. In the spoken interviews they kept saying how much they work, how they constantly switch contexts, and that they need you to 'put on your team jersey.' You can tell they're going to overwork you, it's just too intense. Then, the technical interview involved making a mini API, which I completed, but they nitpicked very subjective things that don't show any experience at all. They must not be real seniors correcting the exercises. On top of that, I had to ask for feedback and they took forever to get back to me.
- Tell me about your experiences.
- Create a simple API.
- Create endpoints with filters.

You'll first talk to a recruiter or HR person for about 20-30 minutes over the phone. They want to hear about your background and what you've highlighted on your resume. They'll also ask why you're interested in this specific job, check your work authorization and discuss logistics like location and if you're open to remote or on-site work. Finally, they'll want to know about your salary expectations and your timeline for starting a new role.
- Can you introduce yourself and walk me through your background?
Software Engineer Intern
So the interview process has 3 rounds total, to see how you'd do and if you fit. First is a DSA round where we check your skills with data structures and algorithms, how well you solve problems, code, and make efficient solutions. You might get questions on arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs, sorting/searching, and dynamic programming. Then, we have a Project Review and Low-Level Design round. You'll talk about a past project, the tech problems and how you solved them, and we'll ask about low-level design stuff like OOP, class diagrams, and design patterns. Lastly, a Cultural Fit round, which is more chill, to see if you vibe with the company culture. We'll chat about why you're here, how you work, and how you handle things like teamwork, disagreements, leading, and adapting.
- How many operations are needed to make a network connected?
- Given a network, what's the minimum number of operations to connect it?
