Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process was really long, about 1.5 months, but I was super excited at the start. There were 4 rounds in total. I first met with the hiring TAM twice, then a team lead, and finally a very detached new TAM who came from a GAFAM company. It was surprising how cold he was, it felt like he really didn't want to be there. It's a pity because the other two people I met were fantastic and really friendly. As I mentioned, my last interview felt really off and completely put me off. A few days later, the first TAM I met contacted me with the feedback. They said that in my last interview, I apparently wasn't strong enough to turn passive candidates into active ones and close deals. I was so shocked by this feedback that I couldn't even respond because we never even discussed that during my 4 interviews. It was clearly BS feedback. They probably can't afford to hire senior TA from developed countries, so they hire cheaper people from places like Romania, Eastern Europe, or Latin America. I was really looking forward to joining Deel, but unfortunately, that won't happen.

Behavioral Technical

The initial interviews with the hiring manager were really positive! They were super open and clear about the role, the company, and its mission. It was a great experience, and I felt really enthusiastic about the opportunity! After that, I had to do a home task, which I completed, and then moved on to the final stages: an interview with the COO and CEO. However, during a quick 30-minute chat with the COO, I realized pretty fast that this wasn't the right company for me. The COO didn't seem very genuine and gave me the impression that the business is mainly driven by market growth. He didn't come across as humble or transparent, and investing in people and culture doesn't seem to be a priority at all for them. I'm just so glad I got to meet him before joining so I didn't make the mistake of joining Deel!

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was great and consistent. I met with stakeholders and business leaders to learn about the organisation and business area. I also learned about the current challenges and the culture at Deel, which really resonated with me. Their mission of connecting great talent to opportunities all over the world is very important.
