Behavioral Technical Presentation

The recruitment process began with a standard screening call, which was actually handled by someone filling in for their colleague. I then moved on to what I assumed was a manager interview, but it felt a bit off because I was the one asking all the questions. I had prepared about 15 questions to get a better feel for the role, but I was still unsure if the interviewer was meant to be my manager or a peer. Soon after, I got an email asking me to do a home assignment, and they didn't even check if the timeline worked for me, which was tough with my full-time job. After I sent it in, there was silence for days, even with three follow-up emails. Then, out of the blue, an email to set up a quick 30-minute interview came through, no phone call, no clear explanation of what to expect. In this interview, again, I was the one asking all the questions because the interviewer seemed unprepared. After more silence, another email arrived to schedule a final interview. The interviewer cut me off after just 15 minutes, said thanks, and ended the Zoom call, which really surprised me. Two hours later, I got a generic email saying I wasn't a good fit – no call, no reasons, no feedback.

Behavioral Technical

I had a video interview with the recruiter, which was the first step. She said there would be around 4 stages in total. The next step is a data analysis case study that takes about 2-3 days to complete. The interview time was inconvenient for me due to the time difference, and the interviewer was condescending, downplaying my 7 years of experience and suggesting it only fit a junior role. She used some psychological tactics, trying to lower my self-esteem before asking about compensation, likely to get a lower salary range. I could tell the culture at Deel is negative.

Behavioral Technical Case

The whole process was pretty fast. They communicated professionally the whole time and gave quick feedback. I advanced to the next step really fast each time. The interviews were great because I learned a lot about the company, the product, and the role, and they were also engaging. It was good to meet the team at each point to get a feel for the company culture and see if it was a good fit for me and if I was a good fit for them. The analytical challenge and the problem-solving interview were both fine.
