I applied for the Design Manager role last year and met with the Head of Design. HR kept calling weekly with status updates, and eventually, top management decided not to offer me the position. I accepted this, and this year I saw a Senior Designer opening and reapplied. I had to do the task again, and HR called today saying my skills are good enough for the Design Manager role and the Senior position is too low for me. It's confusing because last year I didn't get the Design Manager offer, and now they think I'm suitable for it when I applied for a Senior role. It's nonsensical and a waste of time doing tasks and presentations. I also had to spend money to travel from London to Manchester. Boohooman doesn't respect candidates and even asked me to airdrop my portfolio during the interview, making me feel they wanted to copy my work rather than having a genuine opening.

Had two interviews that went pretty well. HR called a few days later with positive feedback, saying there was nothing negative, but they wanted to offer less than my expected salary. I said that was okay. I thought I was getting an offer, but then it took about a month of back and forth before HR finally said they weren't going to offer me the role. I was confused since the feedback was positive, so I asked for more details, but haven't heard back since.

The director was charming, friendly, polite, pleasant, and professional. Even though she was very busy, she made time for a series of very comprehensive interviews. The communication before and after the interview was also exemplary. I enjoyed the experience.
