I applied online and heard back from the recruiter the next day. The first call made it clear DDB San Francisco is really unorganized and unprofessional. The recruiter was 15 minutes late for our initial call and barely apologized. The job duties weren't clear either. For the next round, I got a reschedule request an hour before it was supposed to happen. This happened a few more times, but I still took the calls because I was really excited about DDB at first. Even though the people I spoke to in the second and third phone screenings seemed great, the overall messy, unprofessional, and uncommunicative process meant I had to decline coming onsite for the final interview. DDB, if you value your candidates, please treat them with more respect. You dropped from being my top choice to the very bottom.

I had a great interview process. I met with about 5 people from different departments and got a good understanding of the account, its current situation, any problems it had, and potential opportunities. The internal recruiter gave me very positive feedback, but I never heard back from them. I sent a few emails over about 4 weeks but got no response. It was really strange because they seemed very interested at first, and then they just ghosted me.

It takes a bit of persistence to get hired here, it's all about timing. The HR team is solid and knows their stuff. If you're fresh out of college, pay attention to their feedback on your resume—they're trying to help. If you're looking to move from another agency, give them a shot, because DDB is a fantastic place to work. Make sure you have digital experience before applying.
