Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DCM Services.
Account Representative
They have this thing called an "interactive interview" where you won't get your typical interview questions. Instead, they put about 6-8 candidates in a room with a puzzle to solve, while management watches from the sides. They say not to be a showboat, but I saw people who were, and who also got hired, just like me. They're checking out your teamwork skills, even though the job itself doesn't involve much of it, as most collection teams are pretty independent. They'll tell you they're not limited on openings, but that's not really true; it seems they hire 2-3 people from each group. Even if they offer you the job, you might have to wait a long time to start, like I did – six weeks. Honestly, I wouldn't have bothered if I'd known it would be that long, especially for the pay.
- If you're unfamiliar with interactive interviews, this one might catch you off guard.
Account Representative
We had a group interview where we weren't asked any questions. Instead, we were given a task to complete together. It felt pretty weird, though I did end up getting the job, the experience itself wasn't something I enjoyed.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Account Representative
We did a quick 15m phone chat first, then had an in-person meeting that was around 30m. After that, there was a background check and drug test.
- How would you handle an unhappy client?
