DCI Engineers Interview Questions
& Process

This was a straightforward interview process for a summer internship. I spoke with both principals, and they were very approachable and easy to chat with. The main focus was on my involvement in various societies during my academic career.

This firm has reached out to me multiple times about job openings. One of the people I spoke with didn't seem to understand what a structural engineer does, and sounded like they just finished high school. They mentioned I'd be meeting with the principals the following week, but that never happened. Despite going through all the interviews, I never got any follow-up. I was consistently told I'd hear back 'next week,' but it never happened. I've been ghosted repeatedly. I suspect this company uses and abuses candidates to get what they want, possibly to meet EEOC requirements. They even told me to leave structural engineering, even though I'm licensed in Texas, California, Washington, and Colorado. They seem to lie and psychologically abuse candidates. In one instance, an interviewer asked me to sleep with my wife, which was shocking. Others who heard the recording were also stunned that this came from a structural engineering firm.

this interview process took around two weeks. i sent my application via email. it was a pretty straightforward interview, nothing too difficult or unusual. they mainly asked about my past projects. it was a one-on-one, not a group thing. the principal joined at the end and asked a couple of questions. the whole thing was under 20 minutes.

I submitted my application via email and then was invited for an in-person interview. I had to complete an application before the interview, which made things efficient. Since the interviews happened during the holidays, it was a bit tricky with scheduling, but overall, the process was quick and smooth.
