Behavioral Presentation

I'm graduating in December and this was my first time interviewing. I was really nervous, but the staff at DC Promotions were so welcoming and friendly. The person at the front desk was easy to talk to. It seemed like they genuinely enjoy being part of the team, which is a nice change from other places I've interviewed that felt really stale and quiet. The interview process was thorough and felt legitimate. We reviewed their portfolio and their growth in 2019, which was exactly what I was looking for in a company.

So I went in for my first interview and was waiting around while the receptionist and the guy I was going to interview with were chatting about what food to order for lunch delivery. It was kinda weird and unprofessional, especially when I figured out he was my interviewer. The interview itself was super quick, way shorter than I thought even for a first round, like only 6 minutes total. I didn't even get to talk about my skills, they just asked me what I was looking for in a company and in management. Overall, it was a strange experience and the office vibe wasn't very professional.

I interviewed at other places like this, but this interview was more about personal fit. The other marketing firms felt fake and profit-driven. This interview process focused more on my professional and personal growth, which is way more interesting to me as I start my professional career in the industry.
