The interview process was very thorough and transparent. I applied for a Communications Coordinator role because it aligned with my college studies. During our resume review, the interviewer noticed my leadership experience and inquired if I had considered management. They explained their need for future managers to support company expansion and client growth, which piqued my interest as I was looking for career advancement. They detailed the manager-in-training program, highlighting its significant growth potential compared to the Coordinator role, and covering aspects like self-development, professional growth, sales and marketing strategies, team management, accounting, HR, and upper management. They also discussed working hours, salary structure, and program progression. Although straightforward, I understood the role would be challenging. After a second interview involving shadowing their marketing and sales activities, I was very enthusiastic. The third interview was brief, but I appreciated their openness about the company's operations. My communications degree prepared me for various roles, and it was refreshing to find a company prioritizing employee development over stagnation. I'm eager to begin after completing my final exams.

I had two interviews. The first was with the recruiter where they asked basic questions about me and my industry experience. It went well, so I was invited for a second round. This round involved meeting current employees and learning more about the position. It was a one-on-one marketing activity where we had to interact with people and promote the product. During this time, they asked many questions to get to know me. After that, I met another employee who briefed me on the company and salary. I was then sent home and asked to wait. Later, I received an email stating they thought I was a better fit for a different role. I replied, hoping to hear back, but after months and several follow-up emails, I still haven't heard anything. It would have been great if they had provided updates on my application.

So I went in for my first interview and was waiting around while the receptionist and the guy I was going to interview with were chatting about what food to order for lunch delivery. It was kinda weird and unprofessional, especially when I figured out he was my interviewer. The interview itself was super quick, way shorter than I thought even for a first round, like only 6 minutes total. I didn't even get to talk about my skills, they just asked me what I was looking for in a company and in management. Overall, it was a strange experience and the office vibe wasn't very professional.

I did my homework on the company for the first interview, and the interviewer seemed really impressed that I knew my stuff, not just about the industry but also their company history and marketing strategies. The second round was a job shadow, which was a relief to actually see what the day-to-day is like. They tested both soft and hard business skills during this. It was pretty thorough, so if you're not patient or confident in what you can do, it would be really tough. The third step is a sit-down later that week if you get a thumbs-up from the staff.
