First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DaVita.
Operations Director
There were multiple interview rounds. It was evident the company really values its unique culture. The process seemed designed to find people who were completely aligned with that culture, perhaps even over patient care. I met some very intelligent and empathetic individuals, but I couldn't quite connect with the culture aspect; it didn't feel authentic to me, honestly.
- How do you think you would fit into our company culture?
Operations Director
This interview experience felt like a waste of time. The HR manager seemed unprepared and uninterested during our call, which was off-putting. She was about 10 minutes late for our 30-minute meeting, didn't mention being late, and kept her camera off the entire time. She started by asking about my resume gap, which could have been inferred from my schooling, or asked generic questions not related to my role or experience. Overall, the experience was a turn-off and made me not want to join the company.
- Could you explain the gap in your resume?
- Describe your process for recruiting and hiring talent.
Operations Director
So far it's been a really good and insightful process. I've had two interviews already: one with a recruiter and another with a VP of HR. Now, I'm going to meet with the Divisional VP.
- Can you tell me about your leadership style?
- How do you manage a Profit & Loss statement?
- What's your experience working with physicians?
