First, you fill out a questionnaire online. Then, they call you for an interview. You'll meet with the department Manager for the 1st interview. Then, you'll meet with the AGM or GM for the 2nd interview. If they like you, they bring you in for orientation.

I applied for the new Dave & Buster's store opening in Columbia, SC on December 13th. I got a call for an interview on January 16th, which was delayed because they weren't interviewing until January 9th. When I got there, it was like a speed dating event. You had 7 minutes with a manager, then a gong would sound, they'd yell switch, and another manager would come over. This happened again, so I spoke with 3 managers total. They made hiring decisions on the spot. However, the manager for the technicians wasn't there, so I had to come back the next day first thing. I did that and spoke with him (the amusement manager), who then sent me to the Assistant GM. He offered me the job and helped me with the paperwork. My orientation was set for a few days later, with training starting the next week. They're flexible with scheduling around my school and full-time job.

Applied online, then got a call a few weeks later for an interview with the Amusement Manager. That interview covered availability, customer service, and technical knowledge. After that, I had a second interview with the Asst. General Manager. They briefly went over my availability again and then had me do a walkthrough of the midway area with a Senior Game Tech. They offered me the job right then and there.
