I interviewed with Daugherty and was initially excited. After the second interview, I was hoping for feedback or to see if I could provide more info. A month went by with no communication. I asked for updates but got no reply, which was disheartening. It felt like being left in the dark after putting in time and effort. Good communication is important, and the lack of follow-up made a bad impression. I get that hiring is complex, but candidates should get at least a quick update.

Coding Technical Behavioral Presentation

I first spoke with recruiters at my college career fair. Then, one of the recruiters called me to talk about my resume. The next week, I had a skype call with a senior software engineer where we discussed my experience and projects in detail. After that, I came in for an onsite interview with a principal software engineer, which included pair programming in typescript and a whiteboard problem. I really enjoyed the interview and felt like I learned a lot and was well-prepared. Later that day, the recruiter contacted me to schedule a meeting with some executives for a few days later. This final part was more of a casual chat about company culture and whether I'd be a good personality fit. They had this meeting on a Friday, so spirits were high. By the following Tuesday, I got an offer.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you do some data structure coding for the pair programming part?
  • There were some general whiteboard questions, like given an array of strings, perform this task.

Behavioral Technical

First, a phone call with a recruiter to see if we're a good fit and want to move forward. Pretty straightforward and chill. Then, an in-person chat with the recruiter to go over the job details, company stuff, benefits, how we work, the kinds of projects you'd be on, etc. Next, a technical interview with a senior manager in your field. After that, an interview with another senior manager. Once you're hired, you'll have a half-day orientation with HR about policies and procedures, then spend the rest of your first day 'on the bench' waiting for a client gig. Depending on your skills and what's needed, you might only be on the bench for the afternoon and then head out to a client the next day, or you could be waiting for a couple of weeks.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The technical questions are designed to test your knowledge of an area and they will.
