A recruiter from Dataprise reached out and set up a 20-minute phone interview. It was a professional and polite conversation. They asked about my break-fix experience. The interviewer mentioned the salary range, which had a high end that was $10k lower than what I saw advertised for this job. I was told that the team manager would decide whether to schedule a second interview. A few days later, I heard back that Dataprise would keep my resume on file but weren't interested at this time. I was glad they responded quickly and let me know their decision.

Technical Behavioral

The interview process for the Network Consultant role felt really informal from the start. The staff were dressed casually in t-shirts, jeans, shorts, and flip-flops. There was loud talking and cursing in the lobby, which reminded me of a high school. The job itself is described as "senior" and involves a wide range of responsibilities, from fixing basic computer issues to handling network outages. The interview lasted about 35 minutes and included a session with the hiring manager, followed by the HR manager. While the interviewers were polite, I had trouble understanding them. I decided not to proceed because of this initial impression, even though they seemed to be trying to create a Google-like environment.

The interview process was quite thorough, involving five interviews. I initially spoke with the recruiter, followed by the head of HR. Then, I met with the team lead for the position, the Director of Tech Services, and ultimately the VP of Tech Services. The questions were pretty straightforward, covering personality, career goals, and technical aspects to assess how well I'd align with their business objectives. They were very transparent about their expectations and what they offer, which was a positive aspect of the experience.
