Customer Service Agent
After applying online, the interview process lasted about 2-3 hours. It kicked off with a brief intro to the role and company, followed by a quick icebreaker. Then came a group exercise where we had to design a way to survive an asteroid threat. One person from each group then presented their team's idea. Interestingly, I got the job without presenting, while someone who did present in my group didn't. There was also a typing test, so practicing typing tests online beforehand is a good idea. After that, some forms and background checks were processed. While completing these, we were called one by one for a role-playing simulation or a one-on-one chat. This role-play involved acting out a call-center scenario using a provided script and a phone/website, answering a simple question about website navigation. Good telephone manner and professional, fluent speaking were key. The one-on-one part was pretty standard for entry-level roles, asking basic questions like future aspirations, motivation for joining, and self-identified weaknesses. A key question was about how quickly one can adapt to new systems; I suggested two weeks.
- What are your long-term career goals?
- What's your timeline for adapting to new systems?
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process started with a brief 5-minute phone call to confirm the position and ask some follow-up questions. After that, an assessment center was scheduled, which included various activities like group tasks (using Lego for a scenario), a typing test, a literature test (simulating customer email replies), a role-play phone interview, and a one-on-one interview. This whole process was quite lengthy, and it felt like they were observing your every move, especially when you were waiting to be seen.
- Can you share an instance where you went above and beyond for a customer?
Customer Service Representative
We were in a room with a group and given booklets with multiple choice questions, which were tougher than a school exam. The English part was harder than the first section. After that, people had one-on-one interviews, a typing test, and a role-play. I had never done an assessment centre group interview before, so I was a bit lost. I never received any feedback on why I didn't get the job, not even an email. It was very rude.
- What is your understanding of the role?
