Senior Recruiter
I applied to a job posting on LinkedIn and the VP of Recruiting contacted me pretty quickly to schedule a phone interview. The interview was really informative and engaging. She explained what they were looking for and asked how my experience would fit. It sounded like a cool role, but I decided to withdraw from the onsite interview process because I had already accepted another offer.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Talent Sourcer
First, I had a phone screen with a recruiter, then another with the VP of Talent. After that, I was asked to provide references by the VP. An onsite interview was quickly scheduled and was a bit more technical. I also met the team during the onsite. I didn't get a response the following week, so I followed up via email. It's frustrating not to hear back, especially after putting in the effort for multiple calls, providing references, and an in-person meeting. A simple rejection email would have been appreciated, as it's a basic courtesy.
- What makes you enjoy sourcing?
- Could you demonstrate how to write a boolean string?
- Which sourcing tools are you familiar with?
Recruiting Coordinator
I was super hyped to interview here bc it seemed like a fun and growing company. A buddy got me hooked up with a recruiter, and after a quick phone screen, they were eager to have me come in. I met with like 3 or 4 folks, got a tour of the office, and had to do a 30 min written test that included situational and writing parts. I felt pretty good after leaving - made good connections with everyone and felt I'd mesh well culture-wise and skill-wise. The interview was mid-week, and they said I'd hear back by Friday. But nope, no call, no email, nothing, even after I followed up a bunch. Really bad experience bc they ghosted me once they apparently decided I wasn't a fit, which means it's not a company I'd wanna work for.
- Can you discuss projects you have been involved in?
- What steps did you take to ensure a project was successful?
