First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dassault Systèmes.
QA Lead
I interviewed for a Python QA position and went through two rounds. Both were technical and felt easy, but I haven't heard back since. I've asked HR for a reply, even just an email, because we deserve feedback after an interview.
- basic Python questions were asked
QA Engineer
The interview process had no flaws, but some interviewers at this company can be illogical. For instance, the interviewer asked me to write test cases for a function that outputs a triangle from 3 points. I answered that if the points form a collinear vector, the output should not be a triangle or the software should show an error message. The interviewer interrupted, saying that wasn't a test case but a functionality, and could be added to the software. I then wrote 5-6 more test cases for the same functionality, but the interviewer rejected them. Regarding the interviewers: 1. They want perfect answers, not logic. 3. If they tell you to write any answer, you should say it out loud while writing. 4. Be fully prepared for everything you've ever learned, as they might ask anything, whether it's related to the current profile or not. Good luck!
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Write test cases for the triangle output functionality given 3 points.
- Provide a test case for the login page, covering login functionality, password, and the login button.
Quality Assurance Engineer
I had 3 interviews in total. The first was a casual chat to get to know me better. After that, I was sent an English test. If I passed, I'd proceed to the next interview. I passed and went to the second interview, which was with an HR representative. The second interview actually involved another HR person, my potential manager, and a director. I cleared that too. The final interview was with a top employee from France. After all that, they did a background check. However, midway through, they informed me they had hired someone else.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What aspects of your current role do you dislike?
- Describe a time you successfully resolved an issue.
