First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dashlane.
Product Designer
First, I accepted the job offer. Then, I had an initial conversation with a recruiter who talked about the company and what the job involves. After that, I spoke with the head of the department to discuss my UX culture and methodology knowledge.
- Can you tell me about your approach to UX culture?
- What are your thoughts on UX methodology?
Product Designer
The hiring process took about 1.5 months. It was supposed to have five rounds, and I did those five rounds (screening, head of UX, hiring manager, portfolio review, and design challenge). But then they added two more interviews. They scheduled them, but then a few hours before the last one, they called to say they weren't moving forward. They didn't give a clear reason, just some vague stuff. So, no specific feedback on the portfolio or design challenge. The team was nice and the product is okay, but the process felt disorganized because it changed last minute and I didn't get clear feedback.
- How would you determine if a feature is functioning correctly?
Product Designer
The recruiter was really nice and professional. She responded within a day or two and set up an interview according to my schedule. I've applied to places where you don't hear back for ages, and when you follow up they tell you the job is gone, but that was not the situation with Dashlane.
