Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dashiell.
Electrical Engineer
I first chatted with a recruiter at a career fair, and then they reached out about a week later to schedule an interview. Following that, I had a 30-minute call with the person who would be my boss, and they were really great. The main problem was that I didn't hear back for over a month, even after I tried contacting them a few times to see what was up.
- What sparked your interest in this role with our company?
Electrical Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary. They asked me some behavioral questions and talked about my past work experience. While I thought it went okay, I didn't end up getting an offer because there were other candidates who were a better fit for the role.
- What made you decide to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering?
- Have you had any experience in building things?
- Could you tell me about your high school experience?
Electrical Engineer
It was a very straightforward process. I had one interview with the engineer who would become my boss. We had a good conversation, and it was a very pleasant experience overall. It would be helpful to know some things about power and power distribution to understand the job and decide if you'd like it before getting hired.
- Describe a time you faced a setback in a leadership role and how you handled it.
