Analytics Consultant
I went through about 5-6 rounds of interviews for an Associate Analytics Consultant position at DAS42, with a salary range of 60-70k USD. The interview steps included a phone screen, a coding test, an analysis of a Looker dashboard, and a panel interview. For me, as an international student needing visa sponsorship, it was a letdown. They rejected me mid-process without any feedback, and it seems like a lot of my colleagues got the same mass rejection. It would've been way better if DAS42 had just been upfront about their sponsorship policy from the start, saving me a lot of time and hassle. I'd say this company is good for domestic students, but if you're an international student needing sponsorship, definitely check their policy first before diving in, 'cause the same thing happened to my seniors last year.
- Tell me about yourself.
Data Consultant
It was pretty straightforward. We started with a phone screener, and about a week later, I had a timed technical assessment that focused on SQL and Python, with a strong emphasis on SQL queries.
- Write a Python class
- Execute basic SQL queries involving multiple joins
Analytics Consultant
It started with an on-campus screening to get a feel for candidates. Then there was a technical interview which wasn't a major cut-off point, followed by a really long final round on-site interview. It was a full day of about 4-5 interviews with lots of waiting and a team dinner. They got back to me with a decision within two weeks. The on-site interviews had varied questions and random styles from each interviewer.
