Behavioral Technical Presentation

So I got contacted by a recruiter about Darktrace, to see if I was a fit. After two calls with them, I had my first chat with someone from Darktrace's talent acquisition team, which went fine. Then, a few days later, I had my second chat with a business development exec. She was nice enough, but it felt kind of fake, and I could tell early on she wasn't going to pick me. Her politeness felt forced, and it just felt like a rejection. When I asked about what's next, she said they wanted me for a third and final round the next day, which would be a roleplay, and then they'd decide. I prepped for the roleplay and was ready the next morning. But then, I got a message saying the interview was off because she had a 'private emergency', so it had to be rescheduled. Darktrace went quiet for the whole week. When I followed up, they said they couldn't set a new time yet but definitely wanted to move forward the next week and hoped I hadn't taken another job already. Sounded good. So, the next week, we set up a time for Tuesday morning, 7 days after the original slot. But Tuesday morning, 2 hours before, I got a message cancelling again because they decided not to move forward with my application. Honestly, it was a really bad experience and totally disrespectful. I expected better from a company their size, a market leader, not this kind of behavior, which was really unacceptable. Since I was very qualified, I have to think the decision wasn't about my skills but maybe some personal issues with one of the interviewers, which is really not professional. Just a heads up, it was a really bad, dishonest, and disrespectful way to treat someone.

Overall, the experience was good until the in-person interview. It moved pretty fast. A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and was very professional, setting up both the phone and in-person interviews with the sales hiring manager. The in-person part was the downside for me because it was only 10 minutes, which felt like a waste of time and money. I wish they hadn't scheduled it if I wasn't a serious candidate. It was supposed to be an hour, but it was super short. Also, there was no follow-up after the interview, even though the manager said she'd let me know by the end of the day. I guess they're busy with so many candidates they can't notify everyone who doesn't get the job.
