First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Danlaw Inc.
Software Engineer
So for Danlaw, it's an automotive company. They hit me with technical questions about signals systems, comms, control systems, and C. The facilities and culture are pretty good, I'd say it's a good place to kick off your career.
- Could you explain filters?
- Tell me about the signal system.
- Do you have any basic C programming questions?
Software Engineer
It was a good experience, a bit tricky. They focused heavily on hands-on embedded systems using C, C++, Linux, 8051, and communication protocols, with some basic electronics knowledge needed. Programming was key, especially pointers, arrays, and strings.
- Can you explain what an array is?
- Could you outline the distinctions between unions and structures?
- What's the difference when using malloc versus realloc?
Senior Systems Software Engineer
There were two rounds of interviews. The first round was technical, and then there was an HR round. After a few weeks, I got an offer from the company with good benefits.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
- How did you find out about this role?
- What's your understanding of our company?
