First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Danlaw Inc.
Test Engineer
The interview process involved some essential questions about my education, programming language knowledge, skills, experience, career directions, and projects. I was also asked to talk about myself. The technical question was easy, and the interviewer was friendly. However, there was a long wait for the decision.
- Can you explain CAN communication?
Software Engineer
It was a good experience, a bit tricky. They focused heavily on hands-on embedded systems using C, C++, Linux, 8051, and communication protocols, with some basic electronics knowledge needed. Programming was key, especially pointers, arrays, and strings.
- Can you explain what an array is?
- Could you outline the distinctions between unions and structures?
- What's the difference when using malloc versus realloc?
Marketing Analyst
I emailed my application and they got back to me in a few days to set up an interview. The first interview was a phone call with an HR person. A few days after that, I went in for another interview with the Hiring Manager and the HR person. Both interviews were under an hour long.
- Can you tell me about your greatest strength?
- What do you consider your greatest weakness?
- Could you describe your previous experience?
Intern
The interview process started with a test covering basic electronics, C programming, and aptitude. This was followed by a programming test. It's important to prepare well on C, data structures, and algorithms. After the test, there were three interviews where they asked a lot about C, my resume, and projects.
- Can you describe the files generated during the compilation stages of a C program?
