The panelists were friendly and described the selection process, giving highlights and how the interview would flow. The technical questions were based on the test and the job requirements.

I had one interview, it was a three-person panel interview. I was contacted and interviewed all within a week. I heard back about the interview after 3 weeks. The questions were very precise and to the point especially for the position I was seeking, hard to prepare for in my opinion. The interview itself was quite agreeable, the panel was friendly.

After reviewing all applications, we might give shortlisted candidates a written test. If you pass that (if it's part of the process), we'll invite you for an online chat where we'll talk about your knowledge in the technical area and humanitarian emergency programming. We'll also ask about personal stuff, like why you want to be on our roster. Sometimes, we do language checks during the interview too. It's a tough process to make sure we get the best people with the right skills and professionalism. Less than 20% of applicants make it to the roster. We always aim for the highest ethical and professional standards, in line with DRC's values and Code of Conduct, including protecting against exploitation, abuse, and harassment.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Could you explain how you promote equal opportunities for career development and advancement among all staff, irrespective of gender?
