Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dangote Group.
Senior Engineer
It was a one-on-one interview that focused on your skills and experience. Your educational background is really important, and it's not something that can be changed after an offer is made. So, make sure to include all your work history and any professional qualifications you have.
- Can you tell me about the equipment you've used in your previous roles?
Trainee Engineer
So this interview was like the third part of their hiring thing. First there was an attitude and technical test, then a group discussion, and then this interview. I honestly didn't expect the interview questions to be about my interest, experience, skills, or behavior at work, but it ended up being more of an assessment of my actual knowledge in my field of study.
- Could you sketch a heat exchanger diagram, define terms, describe systems like pumps, and state laws like Raoult's and thermodynamics laws?
- How is the Reynolds number applied in flow processes?
Planning Engineer
The interview process was moderate and straightforward, and it didn't take too long. The interviewer, who was an expat, was nice and calm. I enjoyed the process and ended up accepting the offer, even though it wasn't ideal, but I didn't have a choice.
- Could you introduce yourself?
