Customer Service Representative
It was a super quick phone call, barely an interview. Then I had to do a video interview, which was a waste of my time. I live close enough to drive there in 30 minutes, but it took me two days and a bunch of computer stuff to get the Spark hire application working. The video lighting was awful. Worst of all, they never got back to me at all. Makes you wonder if it was some kind of scam. Didn't seem personal or professional. They could at least thank people for their time. I already got another job, so maybe I dodged a bullet. The good reviews look fake.
- What makes you want to be employed at this company?
- Can you explain what customer service entails?
Customer Service Representative
So I had two interviews. First one was just a regular chill phone interview. Then I had a second one which was a professional panel interview, and it felt pretty easy-peasy. They hit me with the usual questions employers ask. They also went over what the job would be like, like how I'd need to manage emails, communicate well, and stay organized. About 30 minutes after I finished the panel interview, they called and left a voicemail offering me the job, but the pay was super low. This was the main issue for me, I was looking for a fair wage that was better than my current job and would make the long commute worth it. It was kinda weird we didn't discuss pay during the panel interview as planned, but only after the offer. They also didn't mention benefits (like 401k or insurance) until after the offer, which felt a bit disorganized. I guess they were really trying to fill the role. They gave me an adjusted offer shortly after the first one, but it still wasn't enough to cover my commute costs, though it would've been okay if I lived closer.
- Can you share an instance where you successfully resolved an issue with a difficult customer?
- What aspects of your current job do you find enjoyable, and what do you dislike?
- What motivates your decision to leave your current employment?
Customer Service Representative
I got a call from a Dane Street rep about a customer service gig. We talked about my experience, and then they set me up for a one-way video interview that I had to do within 48 hours. It was on a website where I had to record myself answering questions. There were five questions, and I had between 30 seconds and 1 minute 30 seconds to answer each one.
- What makes you suitable for this role?
- Tell me about a time you delivered great customer service.
- Give an instance where you had to finish a task on time.
