The interview process moved pretty quickly, which was nice. I applied online and then got an email a few days later to set up an interview over Go To Meeting. It seemed to go okay, and the questions felt relevant, not tricky at all. After that, I had another phone interview with a different person. That interview was good too; they were clear about what the job entails, which I liked. Both people I spoke with listened well and answered my questions. They both seem to have been with the company a while and know their stuff.

Behavioral Technical Case

I was contacted by a recruiter and then by an employee from Dane Street the next business day, which was unexpected as I hadn't even followed up with the recruiter yet. No resume was asked for or given. The Dane Street employee I spoke with tried to sell me on the job but seemed desperate. I was then asked to drive 4 hours each way to their Palm Beach Gardens office to meet the hiring manager. This manager got annoyed when I brought up pay and benefits. I had checked beforehand with my initial contact to ensure my salary request was communicated, as I didn't want to waste anyone's time if it was unreasonable, but they had lied about communicating it. The interview, which felt more like they were just looking for leads, lasted less than 40 minutes. The hiring manager mentioned another candidate was being considered and said online assessments would be next. I never heard back, not even after I followed up. The original recruiter had no clue what was happening. In short, Dane Street really doesn't respect your time.

Behavioral Other

I got a call from a Dane Street rep about a customer service gig. We talked about my experience, and then they set me up for a one-way video interview that I had to do within 48 hours. It was on a website where I had to record myself answering questions. There were five questions, and I had between 30 seconds and 1 minute 30 seconds to answer each one.

  • Tell me about a time you delivered great customer service.
  • Give an instance where you had to finish a task on time.
