Started with a phone screen that was really informative and enthusiastic. Next up was a two-part round: a SQL exercise on Codesignal, followed by a 30-minute virtual interview with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, the hiring manager was really unprofessional – seemed unprepared, was a bit disheveled, and was picking stuff out of her teeth, which immediately made me lose interest. I didn't like her interview style at all. It felt like she hadn't prepared any questions and was just asking whatever came to mind. She interrupted me a few times and would randomly decide to 'pivot' mid-conversation to a totally different topic. I only had about 2 minutes at the end to ask my questions. I managed to ask one, got a rushed answer, and then the call ended. I was really excited about Dandy before this, but the experience definitely soured me on the role.

I had a recruiter screen that went well, but then I was ghosted. I followed up three times over two weeks. My first message was ignored, my second got a reply saying they'd update me by the end of the day (which didn't happen), and my last follow-up was also unanswered. It's frustrating to schedule and prep for a call, then be left hanging. What's worse is they said my background was a good fit, but then I saw the job reposted on LinkedIn. It gave me a really bad impression of the company.

Wrapped up 4 interviews in 2 weeks. I skipped the initial recruiter call, and went straight to a hiring manager chat, then a take-home test. After that, there was a panel discussion, and finally a case interview. It felt pretty relaxed, and the interviewers were friendly.
