Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dandy (NY).
Account Executive
The initial phone call with the recruiter was professional. Even though I didn't get the job, I liked talking with them. They explained the role, the company, and their achievements, and asked about my background. It wasn't heavy on specific questions, mostly just an overview of the company and myself.
- Can you explain your reasons for leaving your first job?
Account Executive
I interviewed a total of 7 times with Dandy, including a presentation. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly told I'd be a great fit and that my experience as an Account Executive was exactly what they were looking for. I even got to what seemed like the final interview with the founder, only to be told I didn't have enough experience. This whole thing took 2 months, which felt like a waste of time and dashed hopes, especially since I was contacted twice for the same role.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
Account Executive
The vibes were off from the beginning. It was super unorganized. The interviewer seemed all over the place and didn't realize which interview it was. They thought I was in the initial interview when it was actually the 3rd round and supposedly the final round. The company had mass layoffs recently due to "company restructuring".
- What steps have you taken to achieve success in your past positions?
- What is your understanding of the products we offer?
- Imagine you're a salesperson; pitch our product to a provider.
