First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Danaher.
MBA Intern
It was a behavioral interview with really specific questions about my past experiences. The interviewer picked one or two experiences and asked a lot of follow-up questions about my role, the situation, any challenges, and what happened in the end. It felt pretty laid-back and informal, but they really dug into the details.
- Can you share some of your past experiences?
Intern
I met the company at a university recruitment event. I spoke with them about my interests and experience, and they invited me to an interview for the next day. It was a one-on-one interview. We started with general questions about me and my resume. Then, about halfway through, the interviewer pulled out a packet of STAR questions and asked me three of them. They got progressively harder, with the example below being the toughest. Make sure you understand the company values and how you'd fit their culture.
- Can you share an instance where you conveyed different information to different people, and what were the consequences of that action?
Student Assistant
The interview was short and online. The work colleagues seemed nice and friendly. It was quite casual, and the interviewers dressed in hoodies, as they were clearly working from home. The experience was fine.
- Can you tell me about your past employment?
- What might be a difficulty when working with a diverse team?
- What about your personal experiences?
